Full program description
The core trainings will provide the knowledge and skills necessary to work in any one of the following behavioral health related positions:
- Community Health Worker
- Community Paramedic
Upon completion of the core training, the program includes additional and required developmental trainings designed to prepare individuals to be competent in working with youth and families impacted by OUD and SUD.
The development trainings required for the Montana Family Support Program include:
- Trauma Informed Care
- ACEs
- Children Development and Substance Use
- Addressing Stigma and Substance Use
- Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMFHA)
- Management of Aggressive Behaviors (MOAB)
- Child Welfare system training
- Motivational Interviewing
- SBIRT (screening, brief intervention and referral to treatment)
- Question, Persuade, Refer with Substance Use (QPR)
These additional trainings consist of online self-paced and online instructor lead modules.
